Just for Today, I will Be Kind

Just for Today, I will Be Kind (to others and to myself)

In other words:

Just for Today,
I will live with compassion in my heart.
I will be kind to all living things.

It’s important to recognize that all of us have mountains to climb in our lives. 
No-one is exempt from trials and tribulations on their path.

Having compassion for others is a great way to raise your vibration.

The energy you send out to the universe always finds its way back to you.

Being kind and living with compassion in your heart has a ripple effect, when the people around you receive that energy they are affected whether they recognize it or not, and in turn hopefully they return the favor to the people around them.

Just for Today, I will Work Hard

This principle can be interpreted or worded in many different ways.

Just for Today,
I will have integrity.
I will be honest.
I will do my best.
I will not be lazy.
I will give my best effort in all that I do.


The point is to always have integrity in all that you do.
Give an honest days work, put real effort into all that you do.
Not just in the way that you make your living but in all your endeavors,
including your relationships with the people around you.


We all have days when we just coast through our life,
sometimes we are tired or sick, but whatever our situation,
knowing we gave our best even when we weren't at our best
is enough.

At the end of the day you want to be able to look back and
have no regrets about the effort you put into your life.

Just for Today, I will let go of Worry

Just for Today, I will let go of WORRY

Worry is another form of very negative energy which is similar to fear.
Worry also saps away critical personal energy.
Worrying over things that are beyond our control is wasted energy.
Holding on to worry can cause physical symptoms and "dis"ease.

Often it is our own imaginations that create worries about things that have no
basis in what's true or real.
People often worry and agonize over things that never occur.
Worry serves no real purpose, you can't effect your future with worry.
Worry is similar to fear in that it can cause you to not take action,
or to not take chances in your life, causing you to miss out on valuable
opportunities and life lessons.
Bad things happen to good people all the time, and they are often major lessons
in our lives that help us grow as spiritual beings.
The only thing we truly have is this moment, the "now", we can't change the past
or effect the future with worry.

If you find yourself worrying and obsessing about something, first take any
constructive action you feel may help the situation, then release your worry
and replace it with trust and faith.

Try this sometime you find yourself holding on to worry.
Hold your hands in front of you palms up in the form of a bowl.
Imagine filling this bowl with your worries, all of them, they will fit.
Now crumple all your worries into a ball.
Now with the INTENTION of releasing your worries throw open your hands
toward the ground exhaling through your hands.
Now replace that space inside you with trust and faith.

Just for Today, I will let go of Anger

Just for Today, I will let go of ANGER.

Anger is an extremely toxic emotion.
Anger effects not only the person feeling angry but the people around them.
Who doesn't know a person who always seems angry?
How do you feel when you're around an angry person?
How do you feel when you are angry?
Have you EVER felt good while you were angry?

We are only human and from time to time we all get angry.
The key is to let go and release that anger as soon as you can.
Holding on to anger lowers your vibration, releasing it will raise your vibration.
FORGIVING the source of your anger will raise your vibration higher still.
Holding on to the anger can lead to bitterness, hatred and "dis"ease.

The next time you get angry, or are around an angry person
or situation try this.
Remove your self from the person or situation as soon as you can.
Once away you literally wipe the angry/negative energy away.
While holding the INTENTION of wiping this angry energy off of your
"energetic" body, take your RIGHT hand palm facing you and starting at your
LEFT shoulder wipe down you left arm, across you navel area and through your
RIGHT hip/thigh area away from your body. Repeat this motion using your 
LEFT hand, starting at the RIGHT shoulder wiping down across and away from your body.
HOLD the INTENTION of wiping away this angry/negative energy.
Shake off your hands while INTENDING to release this energy toward the ground.
Try it some time, and tell me you don't feel better.

It's time to raise our vibrations...

I believe the Human Race is on the cusp of some profound changes.
We can sit back and let things happen, or we can attempt to raise
our vibrations and effect the course of these changes.
I believe we all share the same energy pool that is all around and inside
of us and that we can make a difference.
I don't have all the answers and I don't pretend to, I'm only human.
I try to live by the 5 very basic Principles of Reiki.
These principles are usually taught during the 2nd or 3rd levels of
instruction of the Reiki courses.
They are universal principles and are not exclusive to Reiki practitioners.
In the hopes of assisting my fellow travelers in this lifetime to raise
their vibrations I would like to share these principles with you.
They are not religious or dogmatic in any way.
These are simple guidelines you can follow or use as affirmations
to help you live a happier and healthier life, while raising your vibration
and the vibrations of the ones whose paths you may cross.

I will be posting these principles in the coming days in no particular 
order and your thoughts and comments are most welcome.

Don't Fear the Light Inside You

With the beginning of a new cycle (chapter) in the human experience, I think it's a good time to really let our light shine. With that in mind...

Open Your Eyes ...Inside

Inside...

They traveled through time for eternity..
Not realizing why, only knowing they should..
They carried with them lifetimes..
Endlessly they wandered thinking only of the present..
Their time seemed endless but it was but a moment
of their true span..
Not unlike drops of water in a rushing river they traveled,
flowing within and without one another..
Unlike sand in an hourglass their movement never ceases..
Unseen to themselves, traveling without reason they were not..
A greater end justified their means..
Following an inner light..
They had no need for forgiveness, for it was their's to give..
Treasures within..
Destiny was not their's, they were destiny's..
Slowly they crawled toward the light, blind..
Seemingly without wisdom they moved toward it..
Yearning for something they did not know and could not see..
Although an unlikely source, once inside they knew why..
They had labored so long and so hard..
It was not an end in and of itself, but a beginning..
So close your eyes and open them again on the inside..
..and don't be afraid.
